The theme topic Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Awareness for Teens and Young Adults reader group in a library's Teen Book Club connecting World Autism Awareness Day event. This gives the opportunity to talk about it and provide readers an insight about types of autism that they may or may not know about.
Ten (10) selected titles with annotated bibliography in different formats (book novels, graphic novel, movie films & audiobook) has a central character theme of one that has a type of ASD which "put a spotlight on the hurdles that people with autism – and others living with autism – face every day" (sourced from Awareness Days Australia).
All titles have a realistic view of a person's daily life with unique characteristics. These titles give readers an insight to experiences and see the view of what is like of someone with autism in a fictional way.
